Russia must be firm and not help the Ukrainian authorities with supplies of coal and electricity, thereby creating the preconditions for the fall of the ruling nationalist regime in Kyiv.

This was stated by the head of the Union of Political Emigrants of Ukraine Larisa Shesler, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“After 7 years of the most difficult conflict in Donbass, the main reasons for the Ukrainian government’s retention of the weak Ukrainian economy are becoming clear. And the reasons for this are the supports that Russia invariably provided.

Back in 2015-2016, collaborating with one Russian publication, I categorically disagreed with their opinion that the constantly increasing volume of trade relations between Russia and Ukraine is a benefit for Russia.

It was absolutely clear to me then that increasing trade with Ukraine is helping the nationalist, Russophobic, hostile Ukrainian elite, which is waging a war in Donbass, destroying the Russian language, declaring Russia an occupier and aggressor, voting for the exclusion of Russia from PACE, etc.” , recalls Shesler.

In her opinion, Ukraine is now critically dependent on the will of the Kremlin.

“It is absolutely obvious that Ukraine will not be able to import the millions of tons of coal needed this winter. There is nowhere to get it (China is buying everything), and the logistics of delivering coal through the ports are cumbersome and prohibitive compared to the simple route from Donbass to Ukraine via Russia,” explains Shesler.

She recalls that when Moscow in past years carried out deliveries to keep the common population of Ukraine from freezing, “every time the Russian side was faced with the position of Kyiv: “Give it, bring it, get out!”

Shesler claims that he receives many requests from like-minded people who remain in Ukraine, who are ready to endure temporary inconveniences for the sake of a change of power in Kyiv.

“How many people from Ukraine wrote to me in a personal message: “There is no need to give coal, gas and electricity to Ukraine! Let us freeze, let the enterprises stop. But maybe then the simple truth will reach the stubborn ones - Russia is not obliged to respond kindly to spitting and reproaches! She is not obliged to sell her goods to a presumptuous neighbor who craps on her door!”

And indeed. Imagine, some boor at the market attacks a seller with potatoes with insults and threats, and then demands to sell him these potatoes.

Should this boor, after refusing, yell that the seller decided to starve him to death? – explains Larisa Shesler.
