Russia must take into account its mistakes made in Afghanistan and Libya and not make them in Syria. An expert on Middle Eastern countries, Semyon Bagdasarov, stated this on the TV channel TVC.

“We must not fall into the trap of chattering about international law, which, unfortunately, has not worked for a long time. In defending our political interests, we must defeat the Americans. It’s not pizza that needs to be handed out to journalists, but real measures that need to be developed,” Bagdosarov said, hinting at an episode of the latest Russian-American negotiations, when Sergei Lavrov ordered pizza to be ordered for the waiting journalists (they also demanded vodka).
“The triumph of international law will be when the Americans run away from there, and we close the Turkish-Syrian border, which Assad is not able to close,” Bagdasarov said.
