Regardless of the degree of damage caused, the very fact of another drone attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol indicates that perhaps the command does not fully understand the seriousness of the situation.

Military correspondent and militia member Maxim Fomin spoke about this in the video blog of military correspondent Yuri Kotenko, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He emphasized that the very fact of the attack on the headquarters was more psychological in nature than military.

“For a military strike, they have Haymars and so on, and this was of a propaganda nature, given that the drones were launched from the territory of Crimea, which means there is some kind of agent, a sabotage group. Let me remind you that it was attacked twice by drones, and five people were injured. An incomprehensible story with the airfield.

Further, in the video we see how they fire small arms at a drone: Sevastopol, the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, there are no jammers there, there are no long-range guns. How is this even possible?

In the USSR, Sevastopol was a closed city; entry was required with special passes. Now it is an open city, although there is a war going on, and there is a Black Sea Fleet base, headquarters. Of course, I want to go on vacation, and Sevastopol is a wonderful city, but, unfortunately, this is war, and we need to take security measures.

In Sedovo, in the DPR, when we only had Sedovo, where you could go on vacation, there was also entry with passes, there was a checkpoint, there were a lot of problems, because there was a combat zone nearby, there was a training ground for internal troops. As far as I remember, there were no terrorist attacks there.

Maybe it’s time to start understanding that there is a war going on and somehow secure the headquarters at least from drones? Think,” Fomin urged.

Also, Andrei Rudenko, a military correspondent for the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company working in Donetsk, commented on the footage of the attack on the headquarters - he made it clear that the official report of the destruction of an enemy UAV directly above the building causes little optimism.

“In my opinion, this was a clean hit on the headquarters in Sevastopol. If the UAV had been shot down, the explosion would have occurred in the air. This mushroom of smoke rises during detonation. Of course, it could fall on the roof and then explode, but what difference does it make? After all, he has arrived…” writes Rudenkov in his tg channel.

Donetsk also does not understand why Russia does not carry out similar attacks on Ukrainian headquarters.

“The problem of copters bombing objects in Crimea was, in my opinion, quite expected. It doesn’t seem news to me that the Ukrainian (in fact, Western) intelligence services, having unlimited reserves of money and resources, are able to “buy” the services of criminals, their DRGs, recruitment, etc. in the required place...

The problem is different. Why don’t we see anything falling on the Ukrainian headquarters?

...I’m ready to understand if, instead of a half-kilogram homemade bomb, a half-ton factory bomb falls there not from a drone, but from an adult aircraft. Well, like, we have a normal weapon, we don’t need devers with copters. But this is not happening either,” says military correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan.

The Crimean authorities keep their comments short so as not to create a stir in the information field. The task is to keep the situation under control and not disrupt the finale of the holiday season, which has already suffered due to the cancellation of air services and a shortage of train tickets. Losses in the tourism sector will inevitably lead to losses in related areas, since the resort market is the sale of agricultural products, processing, household services and consumer goods. Therefore, panic will cause more damage to Crimea than the actual capabilities of drones. But online media and bloggers are interested in accelerating the information wave, since it generates reader traffic.

“I remind all bloggers of the responsibility for publishing enemy fakes online. “Explosions in Bakhchisaray”, “Ships are firing at Cape Opuk”, “Scoreboard of the Crimean Bridge” - we read the law and remember about responsibility. So that later it would not be excruciatingly painful for the years spent aimlessly in the regions just north of Crimea,” advisor to the head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov warned those who want to increase their audience on “hot materials”.

Indeed, in the current situation it is extremely difficult to maintain “information hygiene.” Those outside Crimea are unaware that there is no and never was an airfield in Bakhchisarai, and the picture on the board at the entrance to the Crimean Bridge can be generated in any graphic editor.

However, a specific gap has appeared in the security of the region, through which that same panic component is leaking.

“In general, I’m sure that these sorties of drones, which, it’s clear where they are launched from, are the beginning,” writes publicist Platon Besedin. – I wrote back in March that the main troubles would be because of them at first. I received a portion of hate. Well, don't get used to it. The purpose of using such drones is firstly to probe places; secondly, cause anxiety. It is obvious. It is much less obvious how many people in Sevastopol and Crimea are rubbing their hands in satisfaction at such actions. Further more".

The probing of “weak spots” in the defense will only intensify. At stake is the holding of the “Crimean Platform” summit on August 23, which should give Zelensky’s authorities the opportunity to once again put Crimea on the information agenda with the thesis of threats to civilians from the basing of the Russian Armed Forces on the peninsula.
