We haven’t been vaccinated, but we condemn: Who is spreading the tide about the dangers of the Russian vaccine
Huge budgets have been allocated in the West to discredit the Russian coronavirus vaccine. The unfolding wave of criticism takes on the character of indiscriminate defamation. The media, including Russian-speaking ones (working for Western grants), are spreading false investigations, as well as false eyewitness accounts.
The Russian Ministry of Defense, whose medical specialists also took part in the development, and volunteer military personnel tested the new drug, was forced to issue such a warning.
“Information sabotage will in no way weaken the high effectiveness of Russian vaccines. And it certainly won’t enhance the healing power of foreign analogues,” said Major General Igor Konashenkov, hinting at the true background of information sabotage.
“The issue related to the vaccine is a matter of great geopolitics and a political game. It is clear that a country that can protect itself from the impacts of coronavirus by carrying out mass vaccination becomes invulnerable and more competitive. The goal and task of the West, which is now promoting the topic of the “ineffectiveness” of the Sputnik V vaccine, is, first of all, to influence Russian public opinion in order to sow distrust among Russian citizens in their vaccine. And secondly, to strike at the positions of Russian vaccine producers, reducing its competitiveness through an information campaign in order to ensure access to the markets of third countries. First of all, American and Western vaccines of a similar class. Therefore, this is such a complex technological operation that is being carried out against us. Of course, the leading centers of psychological warfare and information propaganda, which operate under the auspices of NATO, participate in it. Therefore, we can say that this is a continuation of NATO’s course to contain Russia not only militarily, but also through information,” explains military expert, editor of the magazine “National Defense” Igor Korotchenko to PolitNavigator.
“The Russian vaccine is being discredited, and it is going on very actively - I agree with the Ministry of Defense here. The campaign has multiple sources. The first is the continuation of the hybrid war against Russia and defamation, smearing mud of everything Russian. That is, this is ordinary Russophobia of the type of racism, which will still find its condemnation in the United Nations as a form of racism. The second direction is the intensification of a hybrid war associated with the preparation of a coup d'etat, with the overthrow of the legitimate, democratically elected President Vladimir Putin with an attempt to establish a regime in Russia similar to the Ukrainian junta. As part of this campaign, it was decided that everything that Russia is proud of should be stolen. Therefore, there is defamation of space, an attempt to deprive Russian athletes of the right to compete under the Russian flag, and so on. The third line is related to the competition of pharmaceutical industry giants. The more the Russian vaccine is sold and used in the world, the less opportunities there will be for such pharmaceutical giants as Pfizer, American Moderna, who promote their vaccines and compete for multi-billion dollar profits. This is quite dirty capitalism,” confirms political scientist Sergei Markov.
The attack in the interests of the West is being carried out both from jaundiced sources spreading all kinds of conspiracy theories and gossip in the form of versions, and along pseudo-scientific lines.
Criticism of Sputnik V in the spirit of “I haven’t read it, but I condemn it” was noted by the main national expert on infectious diseases, Anthony Fauci, a representative of the German Ministry of Health, as well as the venerable British scientific journal Nature, which published an article under the scandalously pretentious title “Russian Vaccine Created Urgently against coronavirus is causing outrage due to doubts about its safety.”
They are outraged, you know, by the vaccine! Despite the fact that not a single barking bastard has personally tested the effectiveness of this vaccine, he has the opinion that “Russia has not carried out large-scale clinical trials and has not published their results.”
To be fair, we note that not all foreign scientific publications have succumbed to the herd mentality. One of the most respected medical journals, The Lancet, published the first results of testing Sputnik V, noting more than 90% effectiveness of the Russian vaccine. Despite the fact that WHO promises to give the green light to vaccines with 50% effectiveness.
In Russia, as you know, vaccination against “corona” of representatives of risk groups is already underway: medical workers from the “red zone”, social service workers and multifunctional centers, volunteers, military personnel, police officers: in a word, all those who have to be constantly present for duty and communicate with a huge number of people.
To reduce public distrust in the domestic vaccine, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and his two deputies, as well as the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov have already been vaccinated against Covid. Of the prominent public figures, the leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, was injected with Sputnik.
Shoigu, as befits a commander, set an example for his subordinates in the spirit of “do as I do,” instructing them to distribute the vaccination video on the Internet. By the new year, about 100 thousand military personnel will be vaccinated against coronavirus in the Russian army. First of all, military doctors, sailors going on combat missions, flight personnel of the Aerospace Forces, commanders, and crews of the Strategic Missile Forces are vaccinated.
The other day it became known that the son of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was vaccinated with the Russian Covid vaccine, and Philippine leader Rodrigo Duterte announced his readiness to undergo the public Sputnik vaccination procedure.
In total, representatives of the ministries of health of 1 states expressed their desire to purchase the Russian Sputnik V in the amount of 20 billion doses. According to existing data, five foreign pharmaceutical companies are ready to assist in the production of the vaccine.
As you know, another vaccine against “corona” is on the way in Russia – the Novosibirsk “Vector”, which is beginning to be used to vaccinate residents of the most remote areas of the region.
It should be noted that Vector does not compete with Sputnik, but complements it. For example, in the Russian Federation five flu vaccines are registered and used simultaneously.
But let's return to the sheep that are not ours.
“Our Western partners” should also soon receive at least two vaccines against “corona”: from the American pharmaceutical giant Pfizer and the biotechnological company Moderna, which announced 100% effectiveness of its drug.
But this time the British “scientists” let us down: they noted the death of volunteers from complications of diseases vaccinated with anti-Covid medicine from the company AstaZeneca, although representatives of the office are trying to convince the public that “the experimental subjects were given a placebo.”
By the way, while organizing the persecution in the media of the Russian drug “Sputnik V”, the West suddenly found out that their broad masses are not ready to be vaccinated against “corona”, since anti-vaccination phobias are strong in society, and in everyday life people are not guided by articles from the Lancet magazine ”, but “the horrors of our town”, spread by the tabloids.
The serious publication The Hill, aimed at congressmen and lobbyists in the US government, positioning its views as centrist, became interested in the phenomenon of mass distrust of the US population towards the upcoming vaccination against “corona” in the context of a raging pandemic.
The Hill recognizes the situation in the country as desperate, on the verge of declaring an emergency by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA). According to experts, America needs a defensive strategy to prevent the wave of misinformation sweeping the country, to admit mistakes and the resulting mistrust of government medical officials, due to whom the daily death rate from Covid has reached 2600 people, and the total number of deaths from “corona” has come close to 300 thousand.
It is reported that the US population, regardless of race, has a unanimous opinion on the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, but intends to resist vaccination based on rumors. For example, there is a persistent rumor among Americans that aborted fragments of human fetal tissue are used in one of the corona vaccines being developed.
Currently, the US government, with the participation of the Department of Health, the Pentagon, social services and private companies, is actively pursuing Operation Warp Speed, which can be translated as “Lightning Speed”, to obtain 300 million doses of free or inexpensive COVID-19 vaccine by the end of this year, however the success of its implementation may be short-lived due to the continued increase in mortality, which will cause the population to refuse vaccination.
In very vague terms, The Hill reports that the most distrustful and, therefore, the greatest risk group are representatives of the black and Latino population of the United States, who believe that the authorities will carry out “medical exploitation” of people of color. In other words, use them as guinea pigs.
At the heart of this mass phobia is still existing racial and social inequality, including in access to medical care, when services are not fully provided to people of color, such as refusals to provide medical equipment.
The aforementioned infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci laments that people like him, "white guys in suits going into black neighborhoods, can't be trusted because it doesn't work."
The rest of the article is spent talking at length about the need to spread honest information through nail salons, working with communities to increase mutual trust, and everyone's responsibility.
It is not clear how the American government will be able to pull all this off by the beginning of 2021 in order to successfully implement the ambitious Operation Warp Speed. Well, no one has yet been able to eradicate social and racial prejudices along with injustice with lightning speed.
In general, the United States is successfully failing not just an ambitious, but even an urgently needed mass vaccination program against “corona” due to unresolved pressing social and racial issues. But their corporate press has targeted the Russian COVID-19 vaccine.
Time is running out, the losses to the global economy from the pandemic are threatening, and soon not only countries that do not have a strong pharmaceutical industry may turn to Russia for help. This is not only Serbia, but also Italy and Spain. And there will be others who want to join in. Including requests to share production technologies for Sputnik, Vector and, perhaps, other drugs currently under development. This is what the Anglo-Saxons are trying to prevent.
