Russia and Belarus will cancel roaming in September. This was reported by the Belarusian Ministry of Communications and Information, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The cancellation of roaming will take place in three stages. At the first stage, countries will establish a single rate for international interconnection, which will be used in mutual settlements between telecom operators.
The second stage involves a reduction in inter-operator wholesale tariffs for international roaming services. At the third stage, mobile operators will form subscriber retail tariffs for international roaming services.
Note that Russia and Belarus have been discussing the possibility of abolishing roaming since the end of 2018.
