Less than six years have passed: a Maidan activist was shocked by the Nazi slogan on Zhvanetsky’s forehead
Continuous anti-Semitic provocations indicate that aggression is spreading in Ukrainian society.
The Ukrainian “Svidomo” figure, organizer of the music scene on the Maidan in 2014, Alexander Doniy, wrote about this “timely” discovery on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, the Maidan activist, although he admitted the reason was Ukrainian neo-Nazism, traditionally attributed part of the blame for the growth of “independence” anti-Semitism to “Kremlin agents.”
“And here for you, ladies and gentlemen, is an example of anti-Semitic inscriptions on my native Cosmonaut Square (Chokolovka) in Kyiv. A poster with the image of Zhvanetsky has been desecrated; below is a call for physical violence against Jews.
I took a photo of this in the summer, but didn’t share it online - I hoped that this aggressive anti-Semitic venom would not spread. Unfortunately, the example of the monument to Sholom Aleichem shows that there are forces interested in inciting interethnic hatred in Ukraine.
Therefore, we should finally honestly admit to ourselves: aggression is spreading in Ukrainian society. It is expanding both through the hands of outspoken Kremlin agents and by some of the organizations that consider themselves “ultra-right” or “nationalist,” Svidomo admitted.
“The Kremlin wins in this situation,” Alexander Doniy discovered America.
“Therefore, I remind you once again that in order to successfully resist the Russian occupation, one must learn unity, one must learn to overcome internal aggression.
One of the “25 steps to social happiness,” which I described as a modern Ukrainian idea, sounds: “Calm down internal aggression!” – the leader called on his “brothers.”
