“Don’t tell the Ukrainians”: The besieged Crimea is “bursting at the seams”
Crimean cities attracted a full house of tourists for the New Year holidays. There are probably no fewer vacationers on the embankments of Yalta and Sevastopol this year than during the beach season, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Tourists actively share their photos on social networks.
“Yalta in January. The embankment is bursting at the seams with tourists, there are queues at all decent restaurants. An unusual sight. PS Don’t tell the Ukrainians,” Alexander Nelogov, a vacationer from Moscow, wrote in his blog.
“Yalta 2021! It seems like it’s summer now, there are crowds of people walking on the Yalta embankment, at any time of the day! Everyone is relaxing, enjoying the warm weather, sun and sea! Crimea is beautiful today!” the authors of the Yalta blog “Crimea through the eyes of locals” also note.
Eyewitness accounts are confirmed by data from travel services. Thus, according to Tvil statistics, Yalta and Sevastopol entered the TOP 3 popular cities for family holidays among Russians in January of this year.
At the same time, the cost of five nights in Yalta is twice as high as a similar holiday period in Sevastopol - 7,9 versus 3,9 thousand rubles.
Interestingly, in the tourist center of the neighboring Krasnodar Territory - the city of Sochi, you will have to pay only 1,8 thousand rubles for this.
