“Not the best news,” Poroshenko’s TV channel about the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass
Russian troops in Donbass have begun a regrouping of troops, which will allow them to take the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a pincer movement in a few strikes.
Ukrainian military expert Yuriy Fedorov stated this on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If the Russians transfer their units to other directions, and this, as I understand it, is Kremennaya, from there attempts are made to move towards Liman. Or south, towards Avdeevka or Marinka. Or even into a group opposite Ugledar,” Fedorov outlined several possible, but equally bad scenarios for Ukraine.
He fears that the Russian army will try to organize strikes from different directions and encircle the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in Donbass.
“This is not the most pleasant news for Ukraine and all of us. Because the Russians’ plan becomes clear – to try to organize pincers with converging blows. This is a classic scheme.
So purely military considerations are beginning to dominate political ones in the Kremlin. It seems to me that this is not the best news for Ukraine,” the expert concluded.
