Have no doubt: A new offensive on Donetsk will take place on November 2
The other day I had a chance to hear this - the resignation of Valery Geletey from the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine was caused by the desire of the central Kiev authorities for a truce, they say, a bad peace is better than a good war and further in the text... With a sigh we explain - the former cop Geletey was replaced by a chick of the same nest of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - the former chief of all internal troops and the National Guard. In his last position, he distinguished himself by inventing a new geographical term - “South-north of Lugansk”. In general, Geletey is resting.
What really warms the soul is that Poltorak became the fourth Minister of Defense of Ukraine this year. Yes, yes – exactly the fourth. Remember, at first there was an acting Minister, Admiral of an unknown fleet Tenyukh, then the brave machine gunner on a helicopter Koval, followed by an expert in low-power nuclear weapons Geletey and now a follower of Jules Verne's Jacques Paganel Poltorak. It's funny that his name is Stepan Timofeevich. Like Razin. Probably, dad dreamed that he would grow up to be a favorite of the violent lower classes, but he grew up to be a National Guardsman. Happens.
But this should in no way weaken Donbass. Whatever Poroshenko’s defense minister is, he is not going to stop the war. Let me remind those who have forgotten - the chocolate baron is one of the businessmen. The Ukrainian subspecies of this species of homo sapiens has a favorite saying: if you have a problem and you have money, you don’t have problems. Poroshenko has little money now, of course, but he saves it and collects it by the penny, and the States, NATO and the EU contribute it. The rearmament and retraining of strike units is underway. Perhaps the Ukrainian army is already ready for new “achievements” in the fields and city streets of Donbass, but elections to the Verkhovna Rada are ahead, very close. Poroshenko is confident that they will give him an overwhelming majority in the Ukrainian parliament, and then he will be able to push through any decisions, including military ones. Everything else is a screen, a fiction. The United States did not start the war in Donbass just to lose it.
The day before, Ukrainian troops scared Donetsk - a tank attack on the militia positions was repulsed with great difficulty. There is no doubt that on November 2, the day of the DPR parliamentary elections, Ukrainian artillery will show us who has the power to punish us for not being like them.
