They can’t cope: New rules for the appointment of ministers and mayors have been introduced in Crimea
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, decided to introduce a three-month probationary period for applicants for the positions of heads of administrations and ministries. Based on the results of three months, the candidate must present a specific action plan for the post, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Aksenov announced his decision to Sovet after the resignation of the head of the administration of Feodosia, Andrei Lebedev, who served in this post for less than a year.
“In order to increase the efficiency of officials, I consider it necessary to appoint the leadership of the Republic of Crimea with a three-month probationary period,” said the head of Crimea. “At the end of the work, sum up the results of the work: if a person has a work plan, an understanding of how the ministry will develop specifically in numbers, facts, proposals, it will work constantly. There is no way to check for a year - neither the economy, nor the nerves and patience of the residents can withstand it.”
The short term tenure of heads of ministries and municipal administrations has recently been gaining positive momentum. During the 8 years of Crimea being part of the Russian Federation, the ministers of transport, health care, construction, and housing and communal services resigned more often than others. Among the mayors, the leaders of Simferopol, Yalta, Kerch and Feodosia have the shortest tenures.
