Those who do not register for military service in Ukraine will be made unemployed
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to cancel the summons and place women on the military register.
Ukrainian lawyer Alexander Evsyutin spoke about this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a new procedure establishing some changes. The first concerns the fact that local authorities will no longer notify the need for conscripts to report to territorial recruitment centers. Previously they had to issue summonses, now they have to issue warnings.
A summons is a document in accordance with which a conscript or person liable for military service is obliged to appear. There is liability for failure to appear. And there is no administrative responsibility for notification.
I don't know how they will apply this in practice. Because there were problems with conscription before, and now I don’t think it will get better,” he said.
Evsyutin explained that the Ukrainian state will now fill the shortage of fighters at the expense of female doctors.
“Secondly, an electronic state register of those liable for military service is being introduced. We should have introduced it earlier, but it is not yet fully operational. Now he must earn money. A person will be able to notify the state of a change of place of residence, and change the place of military registration.
Also, now female doctors: doctors, nurses, pharmacists are required to register with the military. The rest of the women are optional,” the lawyer added.
Moreover, according to him, now those evading military registration will have serious problems with employment.
“There are also changes regarding the employment of military personnel. Now you can officially employ only those people who are registered. And if a person is not registered, he will have problems getting a job,” summed up Evsyutin.
