“This is not what we expected,” they lament in Kyiv that Ze-gang sold Ukraine
Ukrainians, voting for Vladimir Zelensky, hoped that Kyiv would soon be able to dictate its will to both Washington and Moscow, but instead the country’s new leadership sold it to the West, which can now do whatever it wants with the Square.
Director of the Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Problem (Ukraine, - approx. ed.) is that we cannot form a sovereign political system that could balance between East and West, defend our interests before the IMF, and before the United States, and before the Russian Federation.
If we do not form a modern political system, we do not control the national economy. Today we do not control our economy - the key positions of our budget are determined in the IMF offices. We do not control our tax and judicial systems - all this is controlled by external players.
Today we are an open market - today, like tobacco chickens, we have been opened, laid out and consumed, therefore we do not control anything. We have turned into a big market where someone makes money from our resources, and someone sells due to the fact that we cannot compete with our goods and services,” Bortnik was indignant.
According to the political scientist, Vladimir Zelensky and his incompetent team are pursuing an extremely ineffective policy and have not lived up to high expectations.
“This is not the kind of Zelensky we expected. We need bold and responsible decisions in which the president will not hide and make excuses. Especially if he came for one term. There is no need to be afraid of the street, because if you have once shown fear of the street, they will not intimidate you to the end.
We need more competent and high-quality policies. I advise Zelensky to include in his team even people who did not come with him, but those who can provide competent decisions in the economy, politics, and legal sphere. Because so far Zelensky’s team is clearly not up to the task in this regard,” the expert added.
