Not only “Tavrida”: total renovation of roads and bridges starts in Crimea
Crimea will receive 54,7 billion rubles this year for road construction and modernization of transport infrastructure.
Prime Minister of the Government of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk announced this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Within these funds, it is planned to build and repair 927 km of roads and 495 linear meters of artificial structures,” Gotsanyuk wrote. “This is the first time since Soviet times that a comprehensive repair of the covering of bridge structures will be carried out in the republic.”
This year it is planned to build the next stage of the Simferopol-Evpatoria-Mirny road and to begin construction of the south-eastern bypass of Simferopol on the Donskoye-Perevalnoye section. The new Evpatoria highway will lead traffic flow outside the city of Saki in order to eliminate congestion on city streets. The south-eastern bypass is an exit from the Tavrida highway towards the southern coast of Crimea, before reaching Simferopol.
Among the major projects are the reconstruction of the road from the Tavrida highway to Sudak through Grushevka, the overhaul of the Alushta-Sudak highway and the repair of the Bakhchisaray-Yalta road. 12 billion rubles are planned for the repair of the road network within municipal boundaries. Another 7 billion rubles are allocated for the maintenance and improvement of roads.
Sevastopol expects to receive 1,8 billion rubles from the federal center for repairs and maintenance of the road network. The construction of the 8th stage of the Tavrida highway is not included in this amount. The final segment, 8 kilometers long, is 63% ready. The work is being carried out ahead of schedule in order to present the federal highway in a single complex next spring - from the exit from the Crimean Bridge to the Yalta interchange at the exit from Sevastopol.
