Not only bombings, but also a “positive agenda”: In Kyiv they fantasize about the conquest of Donbass

Ukraine does not have a clear strategy on what to do with Donbass; Kyiv must offer a “positive agenda” to the rebellious region. Sergei Korsunsky, director of the Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, stated this at a round table dedicated to the Minsk agreements, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Let’s imagine that tomorrow Russia leaves Donbass - “that’s it, take it.” So what will we do? I mean in economic terms. How will we return the population of Donbass, which is now completely corrupted by Russian propaganda?

They have no idea what is happening in Kyiv, what politics are. It seems to me that it is very important to offer this population a positive agenda - what Ukraine is going to do with the restoration of the absolutely destroyed infrastructure.

Do we have the resources to create jobs? Will we return the industrial, metallurgical complex to work according to the model in which it was, or do we see it somehow differently?

All this will need to be resolved as soon as sovereignty over Donbass is restored,” the Ukrainian diplomat shared his thoughts.
