Don't trust Turkey! – Avakov’s former deputy warns Ukraine
It is dangerous for Ukraine to pin its hopes on Turkey and plan an operation to seize Donbass by force, counting on Ankara’s help.
Former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Tigran Avakyan stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Avakyan criticized official Kyiv for relying on supporting Azerbaijan and Turkey in the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
“No external player for the nation will ever solve a single problem. We in Ukraine must clearly draw very serious conclusions from this war in order not to be a slave participant in the hands of more experienced players.
In fact, relations with Armenia are spoiled at this stage. The hopes that Turkey and Azerbaijan will fight for us in the Donbass are not serious...
We know that Turkey has very serious interests, in principle, in Crimea, in Tavria and in South Budzhak - the southwestern part of the Odessa region, where quite serious pro-Turkish minorities are represented,” warned the ex-deputy minister.
