“We won’t see NATO”: Russia is winning the diplomatic war for Donbass – Gavrish
Russia attracts representatives of the LPR and DPR to any international venues, creating an understanding that there is a civil war in Ukraine. This will lead to the fact that Ukraine will not be able to reach a new geopolitical level and receive, for example, the NATO Membership Action Plan.
Former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Stepan Gavrish stated this on air on the Apostrophe Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia is very active in this direction. It must be said that the LPR and DPR have opened their representative offices in some countries. It doesn’t matter in which ones - I’m not talking about South Ossetia and Abkhazia, I’m saying that they opened in the Czech Republic and other countries. Under different types. Let us remember that the UN adopted a resolution on Russia’s initiative after the second Minsk Protocol, in which Russia actually tried to give this resolution the quality of international law.
Therefore, Russia will continue to act with one goal - to transform the militants, their leaders, and now they are trying to include the leaders in the TCG negotiation process as a side of politics and force in relations with Ukraine. That is, in this way to record the fact of civil war.
And the more such representative offices appear, the more they can push representatives of the LPR and DPR no matter where, the greater the effect of this civil war will be. Where it leads? This will lead to the fact that Ukraine will not have any chance to reach another geopolitical level, we will not just make excuses, but will not be able, for example, to sign the MAP (NATO Membership Action Plan),” Gavrish said.
