Not all residents of Donetsk were able to wait for the ceasefire (PHOTO)
Donetsk, September 05 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Today everyone was waiting for the long-awaited truce. Even if it was temporary, the ceasefire gave people hope that the terrible page in the modern history of Donetsk and the entire Donbass would be turned over.

According to sources from both opposing sides, the ceasefire agreement actually came into force from today, from 18.00. But before this, many Donetsk residents, namely residents of the Oktyabrsky microdistrict and Petrovsky district, finally managed to receive a kind of “message”.
Today, around noon, these areas were subjected to heavy artillery fire. And, to our great regret, many residents of Donetsk were unable to wait for the ceasefire: both at Oktyabrsky and at Petrovka there were dead civilians.
Also, a large number of people received shrapnel wounds of varying severity, all of them were taken to the hospital.
Today we managed to visit Oktyabrsky and saw what shells from GRAD installations transform people’s homes into.
In multi-storey buildings, after a direct hit, apartments seem to be blown away by the wind, as if they were never there. When it hits the corner part of a house, it “only” knocks out pieces of concrete slabs, blows out windows, and deforms the walls and floors of apartments. It goes without saying that a single shell hitting a multi-story building leaves the entire house without windows.
I really want to hope that these were the last victims of this war, and the townspeople will no longer have to listen in horror to every sound, constantly living in anticipation of shelling.
But time will tell whether our hopes are destined to come true.
Thank you!
