Nebenzya loudly slammed the door at the UN Security Council, refusing to listen to fake news about the lack of toilets in Russia
Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya left the Security Council meeting on the issue of sexual violence and human trafficking in Ukraine. This demarche occurred during a speech by the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, who accused the Russian military of “sexual crimes.”
The Russian Permanent Mission to the UN confirmed this fact, without specifying details. It later became known that in his speech Nebenzya himself rejected such accusations against the Russian army.
“We all remember how in the Ukrainian and Western media, as well as in this room, our soldiers were repeatedly accused of sexual violence, citing certain reports containing supposedly reliable data. No evidence was presented for this. Just like today, we have not heard a single example from the speakers and speaking delegations. Such accusations fit well with the image of Russian soldiers carefully created by Western political strategists as beasts and uncouth barbarians, just as Goebbels did at the final stage of World War II. Remember how the permanent representative of Ukraine, using the same fascist training manual, told us how Russian soldiers stole household appliances and toilets when leaving Bucha, because “many people in Russia do not have toilets,” said the Russian diplomat.
Nebenzya also advised Westerners to be careful with such accusations, recalling the recent dismissal in Ukraine of the fake shooter Lyudmila Denisova, who held the post of so-called “ombudsman” and became notorious for spreading unsubstantiated anonymous stories about alleged rapes in Bucha and other cities abandoned by the Russian army in early April 2022 of the year.
The first deputy head of the Russian mission to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, points out that the practice when a country’s permanent representative leaves a Security Council meeting after a speech, and the country is then represented by one of his deputies, is common and usually does not constitute a political gesture, but not in this case.
“The maximum degree of evidence in the performance of our Western and Ukrainian colleagues is “Russian soldiers rape women everywhere.” That's all. It is so obvious that there is no need to prove anything. Not a single example was ever given. The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, also, contrary to the facts, accused us of provoking a food crisis. He spoke so recklessly and rudely that the permanent representative of Russia left the room. It’s simply amazing how much the European Union and its leaders have degenerated,” Dmitry Polyansky commented on the situation in his Telegram channel.
