“A small price to pay” - the United States is ready to sacrifice 50 million Americans for a complete victory over the Russian Federation
Russia continues to maintain Russian-American nuclear parity not by increasing the number of weapons, but by increasing the power of charges on such carriers as Sarmat and Poseidon.
Military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is quite obvious that the world is now entering a different phase. In it, nuclear weapons become a decisive factor, no longer just a deterrent, a political weapon, but already a battlefield weapon. This became possible due to the fact that deep reductions in nuclear weapons took place. American desires to further reduce nuclear weapons - yes, both American and ours - are due to a simple consideration.
They now have developed missile defense systems, they expect that, within the framework of the agreements, having once again significantly reduced Russian nuclear weapons, taking into account a possible preventive strike on our country - this is a disarming strike, they will basically be able to crush the remnants of the Russian nuclear potential with missile defense systems. Well, if 50-60 nuclear warheads reach US territory, they believe that 30-50 million American lives are a small price to pay for complete victory,” he explained the US logic.
“In my opinion, our leadership is following the path of at least maintaining the existing nuclear parity. And judging by the appearance of systems such as Sarmat and weapons such as Poseidon, it is our nuclear power that will increase. Moreover, not so much due to the quantity, but due to the power of the nuclear warheads themselves,” concluded Sivkov.
