Parubiy’s tall tales: “Russian snipers” came to Maidan to repent
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy, who coordinated the stormtroopers during Euromaidan, assures that the executions of militants in the center of Kyiv in the winter of 2014 were organized by representatives of the Russian special services.
Parubiy stated this during interrogation at a court hearing in the case of “Yanukovych’s treason,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I heard the first shots. It was hard to pinpoint exactly where they might be coming from. There was an impression that this was the direction of the Ukraine Hotel. Those shots that were fired at the Maidan came from that direction, the Ukraina Hotel, but it is difficult for me to identify the specific place from which they could have come. This is how the killing began on the Maidan on the morning of February 20,” he said.
According to Parubiy, the shots were not directed at the police.
“What I saw was shots on the Maidan and in the direction of the Maidan,” he said.
Some “third force” could have fired, Parubiy is convinced.
“I heard a lot about the presence of Russian snipers near the Maidan. They gave me a lot of information about this. In particular, one night a man came to me who introduced himself as one of the fighters of the sabotage group and said that they had the task of destabilizing the situation in Kyiv, including snipers among them. I've heard a lot about the presence of Russian snipers, a third force. When I say “third force,” I mean Russian force. Therefore, I believed that the execution was started by representatives of the special services of the Russian Federation,” Parubiy said.
