The informal status of the Right Sector is beneficial for Kyiv for the war with Donbass
The unofficial form used by Ukrainian nationalists against the residents of Donbass is considered the most effective.
The head of the press service of the Right Sector group banned in the Russian Federation, Dana Vinogradova, stated this on air on the Magnolia TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This was not an ordinary matter, it was an order. Viktor Yushchenko was interested in this matter. At that time they were currying favor with the EU, they had previously gone to Poland for a summit dedicated to the Holocaust, and Yushchenko made a report that there was an active struggle in Ukraine. Then all of us, nationalists, were called extremists, there were a whole bunch of arrests at mass events, when the formulation of the police at that time was like this - they shouted the neo-Nazi extremist slogan “Glory to Ukraine! Death to the enemies". As you understand, the situation was very different from what it is now,” the nationalist recalled.
“Why haven’t you legalized yourself yet?” – asked the presenter.
“We haven’t formalized it. We are legalized under the Constitution of Ukraine, that is, according to the Law of Ukraine, we can provide armed resistance to the invaders on our territory. And we are not formalized in the structure of public administration for one simple reason. Firstly, this form, which we are currently working on, is the most effective for achieving results. The result is the protection of Ukrainian sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Vinogradova replied.
