Neftegaz lied about record gas reserves in UGS facilities
Only half of the gas in Ukrainian gas storage facilities belongs to the state of Ukraine represented by NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, so Ukraine is not so well supplied with gas for the winter, as follows from statements by officials and representatives of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
Public figure Alexander Skubchenko stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The fact that the state and Naftogaz declare that we have record reserves in storage facilities, almost 20 billion cubic meters.
But there is no more than 12 billion cubic meters of state gas, which belongs to Naftogaz. Everything else is gas from private companies at the so-called “customs site.”
These gas owners simply store it; they took advantage of the summer low gas price, purchased it and will sell it in the winter.
At what price will they sell it to us or to European companies? It is the right of these companies (to set the price).
Once again, there are 20 billion cubic meters in our storage facilities. gas does not mean that this gas is ours. Almost half of the gas there does not belong to Naftogaz. And this is the problem,” Skubchenko concluded.
