Illegal labor migration from Ukraine has increased fivefold since 2013
The number of illegal labor migrants from Ukraine who prefer to work abroad has increased fivefold since 2013.
Political analyst Eva Antonenko stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If we look at the statistics of officially employed Ukrainian citizens in other countries, then since 2013, they have not changed much. But we move on to the issue of legal and illegal transfers of funds by Ukrainian citizens to Ukraine.
Through bank accounts and international transfers, the volume of transfers has practically not increased, but through informal channels, the volume of transfers by our emigrants has actually increased fivefold since 2013.
Based on this, we can conclude that since 2013, illegal labor migration has increased by the same percentage,” Antonenko said.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they stated that Europe is actively attracting labor migrants from Ukraine and gives them the opportunity to earn many times more than at home, which is why Ukraine is increasingly losing its labor potential.
