Poroshenko's difficult task: A photo with Trump in a less awkward pose than Klimkin
The former head of the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Voloshin sarcastically commented on Petro Poroshenko’s statements about the unprecedented level of American support that the Ukrainian president feels during his visit to the United States.

“Speech to a standing ovation at a joint meeting of both houses of Congress, full-fledged negotiations (not drop-in) separately with the President of the United States and separately with the Vice President, receiving guarantees of financial assistance... All this happened in September 2014.
“Never before has there been such a difficult visit,” Poroshenko said yesterday. For the sake of noise about “victory” today, Pyotr Alekseevich is ready to forget about his own achievements of yesterday. But many have a good memory, and the difference in the level and quality of dialogue with Washington is obvious to everyone who is not paid at Bankova,” states Voloshin.
“So far, Poroshenko’s visit to the United States is developing almost exactly according to the pattern of Klimkin’s May visit. A meeting with Pence in the White House, after which the vice president may take the Ukrainian guest to his senior comrade in the Oval Office. If this is the case, I am sure that Pyotr Alekseevich will be able to take a photograph in a better pose than Pavel Anatolyevich. But seriously, we still need a full-fledged meeting with access to the media, etc. And there is still a chance for it, although so far everything looks rather strange for the president of a country that seems to be laying claim to the formal status of a US ally outside NATO,” reflects the former Ukrainian Foreign Ministry official.
