Local resident Vasily Alexandrovich tells the journalist the details of the hell that Gorlovka residents experienced on June 10.

“This shelling (June 10) was such that nothing like this had happened in the entire history of the war. There were shellings before, even the house was hit, and our sixth floor is still damaged. But it was always not so long, not so powerful. And this is total chaos. We didn’t go anywhere - there’s nowhere to run, there’s no basement, there’s no bomb shelter. We spent half the night in the vestibule.

It started around eleven in the evening and ended around one in the morning. We have never seen such brutal shelling all year. It was terrible. They beat me purposefully. In all the houses that are nearby, in the boiler room, in the garages. They beat me for two hours without a break,” says the old man.

According to him, the shelling was carried out with shells of 150 mm caliber and above, that is, prohibited weapons. As proof, he shows a crater between the garages caused by a shell. A funnel about five or six meters in diameter and two meters deep.

“Six people’s garages burned down. Three women died and the child is now in intensive care. The women ran to the shelter and at that moment a shell hit them, killing three of them on the spot. The roof of this house (shows) was hit, the fourth entrance. There was one hit in the neighboring house, also on the roof. There were also two hits in another house, an infinite number of hits in the boiler room, it was all destroyed. Two hours of continuous cannonade,” says Vasily Alexandrovich.

“Inhumans have come to power. Even the Nazis did not kill their people. Even animals don't kill their own. “Fascist is putting it mildly,” the local resident is indignant.

Other residents of Gorlovka interviewed by the journalist also agree with Vasily Aleksandrovich, specifically residents of houses damaged by shelling.

“This is the second year we have lived like this. Poroshenko did not build a single house during his activities. People have been earning their living from home for generations. What right does this man have to send an army and bomb? Every resident of Gorlovka knows where the shells are coming from. From Konstantinovka, from Dzerzhinsk, from Mayorovka. Where Ukrainian troops are stationed.

People are shocked! We are ready to place the OSCE in these apartments. How can you survive when shells are flying and you wonder where it will fall when your child is crying? Who gave Poroshenko the right to bomb residential areas? Who gave the right to leave a child without a mother? People died, a girl who had never seen anything in her life. Why did she die? That's horrible! The grandmothers crawled on all fours; they did not have time to hide.

At least one person from the Kyiv government came here, lived under the bombings, heard these sounds. The fact that their oil depot is burning there near Kiev is bullshit compared to what we experienced,” - Gorlovka residents do not hide their anger.

Eyewitnesses of the barbaric shelling are skeptical about the prospect of returning their territories to Ukraine.

“We just want to live in a normal, legal state. Return to Ukraine? Well, how is it possible after something like this, when people’s apartments were destroyed...Who gave the right to shoot at peaceful areas? Everyone knows that these shells are flying from Ukrainian regions. Does the government in Kyiv even think about the people who live here? They say: “We are united.” How united are we if they shoot at us? And all the people here curse the entire Kiev government to the seventh generation. If the president is not responsible for peace in the country, then why do we need such a country?” they say.

Still alone The interviewed Gorlovka resident spoke out more categorically:

“We, two regions, rose up against fascism. Here, give me this land, two meters, let it be my grave, but I will not live in the same country with the fascists,” she says.
