“Poroshenko and Putin should not be allowed to meet alone”
Kyiv, October 20 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Poroshenko and Putin should not be allowed to meet alone, and especially without the presence of Americans.
The Kiev weekly Delovaya Stolitsa came to these conclusions based on the results of negotiations between Moscow and Kiev, which took place during the Asia-Europe Forum summit, in the article “Why does Poroshenko spare Putin.”

“This time the negotiations took place without a US representative,” the publication reports. – There is no point in talking about anything with Putin without the Americans. However, where the result is not demagoguery, the Americans are always present - and perhaps here lies the answer to the question about the significance of the Milan meeting.”
In addition, “Business Capital,” citing unnamed experts, warns that a personal meeting between the Ukrainian and Russian presidents is undesirable.
“Firstly, this is wrong from an image point of view - the public does not like behind-the-scenes secrecy,” the weekly emphasizes. Secondly, the appearance of dialogue plays into the hands of the Kremlin. The world of finance always favors negotiations, even when they merely imitate a peace process. Does Kyiv need to participate in slowing down the devaluation of the ruble and the fall of the Russian securities market?
