Nemtsov was useful for the Kremlin just as the current senator Tsekov was useful for Kyiv, - RDK veteran
Simferopol, March 02 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) - Boris Nemtsov was a classic political corpse and in this capacity was very beneficial both personally to the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and to the Russian government system as a whole - this was the assessment of the oppositionist after his death given by a Moscow resource Segodnya.RU.

The publication notes that “being a lover of expensive prostitutes, luxury apartments, foreign voyages and, in general, Dolce Vita,” Nemtsov was inclined to misuse the funds of American taxpayers allocated by the US State Department for the “Russian revolution.” And in this sense, he was more useful for the Kremlin than dangerous. He was not a passionary, but an aging bon vivant who had found a trough, trying to finally get more of the simple joys of an elderly provincial womanizer who found himself with money. And, of course, there was no point in killing such a person.”
In Crimea they reacted in a unique way to such a remark from the capital’s press.
Thus, Vadim Mordashov, a veteran of the RDK and deputy of the Supreme Council of Crimea of the 1st convocation, saw in this assessment of Nemtsov a complete analogy with the recent activities in the “field of work with compatriots” of the current senator from the legislative branch of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Tsekov.
Mordashov recalls: “Tsekov as a politician for two decades was also beneficial to the Ukrainian authorities, although he had a feeding trough at the expense of the Russian federal budget - he was a festival of money, letting off steam from the discontent of the protest pro-Russian electorate with Ukraine. At the same time, the only reason for the national oppression of the Crimeans - Ukrainian statehood on the peninsula - was never questioned by Tsekov. Moreover, he managed, several hours before the appearance of Russian flags over the Supreme Council and the Council of Ministers of the republic, to continue to swear allegiance to the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Although by this time there were already those who died for Russian Crimea.”
“Nemtsov was useful for the Kremlin just as Tsekov was useful for the Kyiv authorities and the SBU in his time,” summarized the veteran of the Russian movement of the peninsula.
