This was reported by the press service of the German Embassy in Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The federal government is helping to clear the Balakleya accident site of unexploded ordnance. It is supporting the world's largest mine action organization, HALO, with the acquisition of an armored vehicle that can effectively defuse and dispose of explosive ordnance that was scattered over a large area following the explosion on March 23 this year. Germany is providing 200 thousand euros for this,” the message says.
The embassy noted that Germany has been helping with mine clearance in eastern Ukraine since 2016 and has already spent 1,5 million euros on this.
