“We should not break off relations with Moscow now,” famous German industrialist Werner Wenning said in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. “We must take care not to break trade relations that have been established over decades.”

Discontent is growing not only among large industrialists, but also among the middle class. The head of foreign trade of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), Volker Traier, spoke about the negative impact of the crisis in Russia on German companies. “The crisis of the Russian economy always leaves a smoking mark on the parquet of German companies in Russia,” he said.
According to a study conducted by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry of almost 300 German companies, one in three must lay off employees. “36% of German companies in Russia expect the cancellation of their projects, every eighth is considering a complete withdrawal from the Russian market,” said Volker Traier.
“At the last EU summit, representatives of several states expressed doubts about the overall sanctions policy,” writes FAZ. – Foreign Minister Steinmeier expressed concern that Russia would be destabilized... Russian President Vladimir Putin, meanwhile, is showing strength. He said on Saturday that no one will be able to intimidate Russia, and that the country is ready to go through some difficulties."
Let us remember that last week the EU and the United States introduced new sanctions against Crimea, which the Russian President called “sanctions against Russian sovereignty.”
