“We should not break off relations with Moscow now,” famous German industrialist Werner Wenning said in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. “We must take care not to break trade relations that have been established over decades.”

Discontent is growing not only among large industrialists, but also among the middle class. The head of foreign trade of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), Volker Traier, spoke about the negative impact of the crisis in Russia on German companies. “The crisis of the Russian economy always leaves a smoking mark on the parquet of German companies in Russia,” he said.
