German fishermen took custody of Nord Stream 2
Germany, in an unexpected way, took under protection the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. Previously, Polish fishing vessels and unknown submarines staged provocations near the laying site.
Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov spoke about this on the YouTube channel “Capital”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Now the pipe-laying area (and both Russian pipelayers have already arrived there: “Fortuna” and “Akademik Chersky”) are covered by German fishing vessels. The navigation map indicates that they are having some problems. That is, they do not catch fish, but somehow move around this zone. It's obvious they're just covering for her.
It is clear that these are rented ships, on which are, if not Petrov and Boshirov, then some other guys who should not allow the Polish schooner to be carried away by the current into the construction area. Because after any, even a slight collision with sides or a pile-up, according to the regulations, it is necessary to return to the port and then only continue work,” Dzhangirov said.
At the same time, he noted that “Akademik Chersky” is moving twice as fast as “Fortuna”.
According to the expert, Nord Stream 2 is moving towards completion.
According to Dzhangirov, a negotiation process is currently underway between the United States and Germany, the results of which will be discussed during a personal meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States. He believes that the United States is ready, under certain conditions, to allow it to “end and start.”
“It’s interesting how the Americans and Germans will defend Ukrainian interests in terms of preserving transit. My hypothesis is that a consortium of Western investors, where there will be both Americans and Germans, will fill two of the four pipes that the Russians will load with gas. They will pay off. This will be a profitable business, and they will have a long-term contract.
Pumping through Ukraine will continue, it will just be practically nothing for Ukraine. We will allow our American-German partners to privatize very cheaply. Such a sad fate awaits our gas transportation system, which in the past was one of those, if not engineering miracles, then a very complex engineering system. This is a monument to the lost Soviet civilization. Rust is the most powerful decommunizer. The Ukrainian government is only an assistant in this noble cause,” Dzhangirov said.
