German tanks couldn’t cope with Ukrainian off-road conditions – military correspondent

The German-made Leopard tanks transferred to Ukraine did not pass the test and are stuck in Russian soil occupied by Ukraine.

Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Sladkov, the heavy weight of German armored vehicles, which are not intended for travel on such soil, has an effect.

“It turns out that the Leopards do not drown in the mud of Russian lands, but they drown in ordinary soil. In ordinary land. Naturally, guys, for 60 tons - well, where is it, they said. It’s not for nothing that Russia’s defense potential provides for percentages for wheeled vehicles, amphibious vehicles, and heavy equipment. Everything was calculated, and they thought that they would come and control their maneuver on the ground that they had not analyzed. Please, the fascist tanks are sinking,” said Sladkov.

The political officer of the Vikhr special forces detachment, writer Alexei Shorokhov, on the Crimea 24 TV channel, emphasized that the Leopards, which get stuck in the ground, can be used as firing points, and not offensive equipment.

“We must remember why such tanks were created in NATO during the Cold War - as long-term firing points that were supposed to hold back the onslaught of our tank armies. They had no doubt that our tanks would reach. Their offensive tanks are problematic,” the expert said.

And economist Alexander Dudchak notes that the real purpose of transferring Leopards to Ukraine is their disposal and subsequent replacement with American ones for European countries.

“With the help of Ukraine, the United States is solving its pragmatic tasks, one of which is the elimination of an economic competitor in the person of the European Union. Capital is leaving Europe for North America and Southeast Asia – where resources are cheaper.

And deliveries of German Leopards to Ukraine for the disposal of their reserves imply the subsequent replacement of German armored vehicles with American ones. Now we are talking about the “partial” transfer of military production from Germany to the USA! Bloomberg is talking about this.

At today’s meeting between Biden and Scholz at the White House, the German Chancellor may be persuaded to move production of the German military industry to the United States,” Dudchak writes in his blog.
