A German expert explained why Merkel will ask Putin for help in Moscow
Since Germany's biggest threat at the moment is the large number of refugees from Afghanistan, Berlin wants Moscow to help stem the flow.
German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is coming to the forefront in Germany is the danger of a huge, twenty to thirty times larger flow of Afghan refugees through Turkey, who could end up near the German border in a few weeks, right around election time. Merkel has a plan: pay money, just like Turkey, to Central Asian states to keep their borders closed. Because they don’t want to pay Iran because of sanctions. Germany wants Central Asian states to accept refugees and keep them,” the expert said.
He also noted that Merkel’s support for Russia as the main country in the CSTO and the EAEU in resolving the migration crisis is very important.
“Of course, Germany wants Russia, the main country in the CSTO and the EAEU, to help ensure that the migrant plan is implemented. So that Russia plays on the side of Europe, and not against it, defending, for example, Lukashenko in this regard. For Merkel today this is a very important issue, because a second refugee crisis, if it breaks out, will completely destroy her entire positive chancellorship. Because the main problem of her chancellorship was precisely the migration crisis of 2015,” concluded Rahr.

Let us remind you that yesterday the first group of refugees - translators and employees of various American structures in Afghanistan - amounted to 250 people arrived today in Albania.
