The German minister promises to continue to ruin Europe for the sake of war against Russia
Anti-Russian sanctions are hitting the European economy hard, but the governments of the Western bloc countries will continue to rob their people for the sake of the war against Russia.
German Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck said this in a conversation with journalists, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Commenting on the issue of anti-Russian sanctions, the German politician emphasized that Europe is not going to abandon them.
“European society bears a burden. It is inconceivable that sanctions would not have consequences for one’s own economy and own prices. We will have higher inflation, higher prices, and additional stress on the economy.
But we, as Europeans, are ready to bear this burden to help Ukraine. But this cannot be done for free. There will be difficulties, and these difficulties will have to be endured. We will certainly harm ourselves, that’s absolutely clear,” Habeck said.
