“A year and a half ago I moved to Belgrade with my wife, a retired Serbian diplomat from Lindau on Lake Constance,” Hensel wrote. – As a German, I would not have dared to look my relatives, friends and acquaintances in the eyes if I had not taken a clear position regarding your statement, both for me and probably for most Serbs, which is difficult to explain.

According to Serbian and German media reports, even as the Serbian people commemorated the tragic 80th anniversary of the bombing of Belgrade during World War II, you stated that the 1999 bombings were necessary to prevent a humanitarian disaster and genocide in Kosovo. What a grotesque falsification of history!”

The German emphasized that he took the initiative to write to Thomas Schieb because he considers the bombing of Yugoslavia with depleted uranium warheads, which subsequently led to an increase in cancer, to be one of the darkest pages in the history of Western civilization.

“I am horrified that a German diplomat is unnecessarily engaged in cheap NATO propaganda, and I wonder whether such a person should be an ambassador? However, this issue must be resolved by the Serbian people and the leadership of Serbia. In any case, I will offer my open letter for publication in Germany and other countries,” Hensel said.

Let us recall that the German Ambassador to Serbia, Thomas Schieb, justified NATO aggression against Yugoslavia, saidthat she helped “avoid genocide.”
