Politicians from France and Germany are forming a delegation to travel to Donbass. German politician Andreas Maurer said this today on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.

“We want to go there and talk to people. I am sure that Ukraine is adding gasoline to the fire of the conflict in order to shift the solution to this problem to Russia. For me, as a European, it is obvious that Kyiv is not interested in a peaceful solution to the Donbass issue. This is a dead end for Europe. We must start putting pressure on politicians in Kyiv. You cannot give money and encourage the movement to Europe of a country that is waging war against its own people,” Maurer said.
In his opinion, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the law “on the de-occupation of Donbass” so that Ukrainian politicians would have the opportunity to talk about Russian aggression at the economic forum in Davos.
“In recent years, such statements have always been heard on the eve of the Davos forum. Poroshenko, Klitschko, I am sure, will come there again and talk about Russian aggression. When Europe begins to slowly put pressure on Ukraine and ask when it will comply with the Minsk agreements, a new plan emerges to present Russia as an aggressor,” Maurer said.
