The figure in the corruption scandal, ex-journalist and “anti-corruption activist” Sergei Leshchenko, having received an actual bribe to buy an apartment, was better off after that to sit silently and keep a low profile.

“At first I didn’t want to write about Sergei Leshchenko. But I decided to throw in my two cents anyway. Not surprising. Absolutely. The reaction is a little surprising. After all, it was necessary to understand that the situation would someday become clear. And prepare,” he wrote.
According to the journalist, the story with Leshchenko reminds him of an old Colombian fairy tale:
“A little chicken was chased by a fox. The chicken runs and meets a cow. He asks her: save her! She told him: how? Then he says: look, I’ll put you in my shit. The fox won't even smell your scent. And if you find yourself in shit, sit and don’t eat,” the journalist cites the allegory.
