German journalist: Ukrainians are engaged in self-deception by not recognizing the failure in Donbass
Kyiv, October 25 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) - Ukrainian society is content with the information about the war in Donbass that the authorities convey to it, because it understands that the truth will be even worse, and therefore no one wants to know it.
This opinion is in the material published on the pages of the Kyiv magazine “Vesti. Reporter,” says Der Spiegel magazine reporter Moritz Gatmann, pointing out that everyone in the country understands perfectly well that military operations, despite the Minsk agreements, continue, but no one asks the question why Kyiv is not resuming the ATO in full.

“Because Ukraine will not cope,” the German journalist is convinced. – Neither from an economic point of view, nor from a political, nor from a military point of view. But no one wants to talk about it “openly”, since admitting such a fact contradicts all the patriotic (self-) convictions of recent months.”
The Der Spiegel reporter believes that an equally terrible shock awaits Ukrainian society if it suddenly learns the whole truth about the disaster near Ilovaisk.
