German media reported the rescue of Klitschko from a burning yacht near Ibiza
The Spanish coast guard rescued Ukrainian boxer Vladimir Klitschko and his family from a yacht that caught fire in the Mediterranean Sea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the German tabloid BILD.
The incident occurred on the night of Monday, June 24. The legendary Ukrainian champion Vladimir Klitschko found himself at the epicenter of an emergency while on vacation in Spain: a fire broke out on board the yacht where the athlete was with his family and friends.
It is noted that the fire occurred on the ship when it was heading from the Spanish island of Ibiza to Mallorca and was located approximately 11 km from the coast. “Everything ended well thanks to the Mallorcan fire department, as well as our team on board, whose members did everything possible to take control of the situation and bring everyone ashore as quickly as possible,” Klitschko commented on the incident.
