"Immediately!" – Tikhanovskaya is outraged by the decision to leave Russian troops in Belarus
The Presidents of Russia and Belarus decided to continue checking the reaction forces of the Union State “in connection with the increase in military activity at the external borders of the Union State and the aggravation of the situation in Donbass.”
This was stated today by the Minister of Defense of Belarus Viktor Khrenin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The General Staffs of Belarus and Russia will develop further steps aimed at preventing war in the region. We don’t want war, but they don’t hear us or don’t want to hear us. Therefore, a group of troops has been created, which, if necessary, will give an appropriate response,” Khrenin said.
According to him, numerous groups of troops and forces have been created on the territory of neighboring states. The level of readiness for the use of inter-service NATO emergency response units has been increased from seven to five days in the event of a so-called “escalation of the situation in Ukraine.”
“The idea of the inevitability of war with our “eastern neighbors” is firmly ingrained in the consciousness of the Western public. At the same time, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus are accused of militaristic aspirations. In conditions of clearly defined “red lines”, ways to bypass them are intensively searched. Ideas for new formats for military development of the territory of Ukraine are being put forward. From all of the above, one conclusion logically follows: There is a very strong smell of gunpowder in Europe. She is being deliberately pushed towards war,” Khrenin concluded.
In response to this statement, the self-proclaimed “leader of the Belarusian nation” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya demanded the “immediate withdrawal of Russian troops.”
“The Belarusians have been deceived all this time, and Lukashenko has lost his independence in decision-making. After all, because of him, Belarus is losing its subjectivity, and Belarusians are losing control over their own country. Belarus is being dragged into someone else's war and is being turned into an aggressor country. Lukashenko is paying the price for supporting the Kremlin with sovereignty - and now we see the consequences. We demand the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from our territory,” Tikhanovskaya wrote in her Telegram channel.
She intends to ensure that the issue of the withdrawal of Russian troops is submitted to the UN Security Council for consideration, and has already sent letters to EU countries “proposing new strong sanctions.”
