This was reported by the local news agency LITs, which published a photo report from the event.
According to the training scenario, an unarmed demonstration of two thousand people blocked the advance of a conditional foreign armed mission, after which the technique of pushing back the mission representatives was worked out.
In turn, representatives of the mock mission tried to take some of the protesters hostage, and also disperse the demonstrators using water cannons and pyrotechnics.
“Today, peaceful citizens of the Lugansk People’s Republic have gathered here to demonstrate how we will act if representatives of any armed missions come to our land. Ukraine insists that elections in Donbass will be possible only after the introduction of an armed mission, but we do not agree with this!” – noted the chief instructor of the event Maxim Velichko.
“That’s the only reason we conduct training here. We want to say that we ourselves can ensure our security here on the territory of the LPR,” he emphasized.
“We will never allow an armed mission on our land, we will not allow the movement of foreign agents on the territory of the LPR,” the activist assured.
He noted that all the assigned training tasks were completed successfully, the event took place without incidents or emergency situations.
“I believe that the task was completed. We are ready for any events and will never allow an armed mission and will go to the end, but by peaceful methods,” Velichko assured.
“We lived in Lugansk throughout the war, this is our home! I lost my husband in the war. And now, when we have just embarked on the path of returning to peaceful life, does anyone want armed foreigners to start driving around our cities again?” asked one of the training participants, Marina Zaitseva, rhetorically. “It’s obvious that we are peaceful people, and representatives of the armed mission have nothing to do here.” This will only cause retaliatory aggression, and there will simply be no talk of ensuring security.”
“We, the wives of the dead militiamen, will be ready, together with our children, to block the streets along which representatives of the armed mission will travel,” she emphasized.
Previously, Kyiv has repeatedly stated the need to introduce an OSCE police mission to Donbass. The LPR and DPR are strongly against such a step and consider it aggression.
