Biletsky's neo-Nazis screamed about the US information attack on Ukraine
The neo-Nazi regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov” categorically disagrees with the demand of American legislators to recognize the unit as a terrorist organization.
This is stated on the official page of the regiment, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Recently, the appeal of 40 members of the US House of Representatives to recognize the Azov regiment as an alleged terrorist organization received wide publicity. The leadership of the Azov regiment declares that this appeal is nothing more than an information attack on Ukraine, its sovereignty and state security,” the statement says.
The militants call their unit “one of the most famous and combat-ready” in Ukraine.
“It was “Azov” that liberated Mariupol in 2014 and carried out a successful Pavlopol-Shirokinsky offensive in 2015. From the beginning of this year until September, Azov fighters served on the front line of the Joint Forces Operation in the Svetlodar Bulge area, where they brilliantly carried out more than one combat operation and inflicted countless irreparable losses on the enemy. With its victory, our regiment has repeatedly proven its loyalty to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, and demonstrated its readiness to go into battle for the Motherland with the goal of completely destroying the Russian occupier on our land,” the Azov statement emphasizes.
As PolitNavigator reported, a group of US senators appealed to the State Department with a demand to recognize “Azov” neo-Nazi terrorist organization.
