The first page of the latest issue of the magazine is an advertising poster for neo-Nazis from “Azov”. On the cover is a group photo of neo-Nazi militants under the heading “Azovnash”.
The material in Novoye Vremya is intended to convince readers that odious neo-Nazis are “heroes of Ukraine.”
“How a motley group of young people called the Azov No. battalion took over the functions of the army and recaptured Mariupol from the militants,” these words on the cover of the magazine entice readers to read a eulogy to the odious Nazi formation.
Finally, the title of the material attracts attention. It plays on the well-known Russian propaganda meme “Krymnash”, which for a significant part became a symbol of national pride after the operation to annex Crimea. It turns out that the pride of the Ukrainian nation is neo-Nazis.
