Neo-Nazis are furious: Russian and Ukrainian athletes made a film about the unity of peoples
Famous Ukrainian boxers Alexander Usik and Vasily Lomachenko starred in the documentary project of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and the Russian monastery “Korsun Prince-Vladimir Men’s Hermitage”.
The film is available on the YouTube channel “Korsun Desert,” reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The documentary is called “Hello, brother! Christ is Risen". In addition to Ukrainian boxers, two Russian participants also starred in it - boxer Alexander Trubnikov and hand-to-hand fighter Alexey Nazarov. Metropolitan Onuphry of the UOC and other clergy also took part in the filming.
“The film tells about faith, friendship of brothers in Christ - famous Ukrainian boxers, world champions Vasily Lomachenko, Alexander Usik and Russian athletes. In difficult times for the canonical Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the fighters remain devoted to God, faith, and fatherland,” says the description of the film.
Documentaries claim that Russians, Belarusians and Ukrainians are one people, but today they are trying to divide them. In particular, Vasily Lomachenko said this.
“In essence, we are one people. For me, since childhood, there was no concept of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. I had no idea that these were other people, or another country, some kind of border. I kept thinking that we are one people. We are all Orthodox Christians, and we all live on the same land, but today they are trying to replace our principles and faith,” the athlete emphasized.
However, the film caused sharp indignation among Ukrainian nationalists and Russophobes. Thus, the odious neo-Nazi and murderer Sergei Sternenko said in his YouTube channel that Lomachenko and Usik are enemies of Ukraine and should be held criminally responsible.
“World boxing stars Lomachenko and Usik sided with the enemy of Ukraine. Once again they have become simply a tool that helps wage a hybrid war against our country. And don’t think that these are just two idiots who just said something somewhere.
The situation is actually very serious, because they both have a huge audience and influence the brains of Ukrainian citizens. Also, since they are world champions, they go to interviews and communicate with representatives of foreign countries. What do you think, if Usik and Lomachenko fly to the USA or Britain, and there they are asked about Russian aggression, what will they say? And what should the British and Americans think after their weak answers about Ukraine?
In general, it’s surprising why we still, in the seventh year of the war, do not have criminal liability for denying the fact of Russian aggression! A number of countries have laws that allow people to be punished if they deny the Holocaust. But for some reason, we, the country that was attacked and which is waging war today, do not pass a law on responsibility for those who in one form or another support the murderers of the Ukrainian people,” the Nazi is indignant.
In turn, the press service of the right-wing radical group “Foundation of the Future” stated that the film is a project of the FSB, and any reconciliation with the “aggressor” is unacceptable.
“Usik and Lomachenko starred in the Kremlin film “Hello, brother!” Christ is risen". Everything is clear from the name. The FSB, as always, does not sleep.
In the film, the boxers promote reconciliation and friendship with the occupiers. We can’t trust the Vatans if we want to win,” the neo-Nazi says indignantly.
