“I fully support NATO's decision. This is just a great solution because they are diverting their funds to all sorts of nonsense. The deployment of these four battalions will cost the Americans alone $2,5 billion. For comparison: they 500 million allocated for training the Syrian opposition, which is killing our soldiers and officers. Let them better allocate it there,” Platoshkin said.
According to the expert, an increase in military spending will negatively affect the economies of European countries.
“All countries except Germany are in a difficult economic situation. The more money they spend on nonsense that poses no threat to us, the better. It would be worse if these funds went to Ukraine, which is killing our allies, or to Syria. In many countries, the decision to increase military spending will cause internal protests, which is wonderful,” Platoshkin said.
