Invincible and legendary - the Russians assessed the state of the army
More than half of Russians (52%) assess the situation in the army as good or excellent; the number of optimists has increased by 43% compared to 2013. Only 7% of participants in a survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation assessed the state of the Russian army as poor.

88% of respondents are confident that the army is capable of ensuring the security of the country; 6% of respondents have the opposite opinion. 75% are confident that the army’s combat effectiveness is increasing, 3% are confident that it is decreasing. 75% believe that military service is a school of life, 16% believe that these are lost years.
As for spending on the armed forces, according to 29% of respondents, they should be increased, according to 8%, they should be reduced, and 48% of respondents are in favor of not changing anything. There is no consensus on the effectiveness of spending funds on military needs: 35% believe that money is spent effectively, 31% - that it is not. If additional income came into the budget and it could be spent either only on military or only on civilian needs, 71% of respondents (among young people - 77%) would prefer the second option.
