"Inferior crests." Farion demands “demoskovization of Ukrainian spelling”
The transition to the Latin alphabet will turn Ukrainians into inferior people without their own history and culture.
The odious nationalist, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Farion stated this on her video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, it is better for Ukraine to leave its alphabet in Cyrillic, but clear the spelling of the “Russian heritage.”
“Romanization of the Ukrainian alphabet is not just cutting us off from the deep layer of our culture, it is putting us under someone’s political or fashionable trend... Today it has no other basis except for political games, except for testifying to the inferiority complex of the Ukrainian, who is always -that he inherits instead of immersing himself in his own... If someone thinks that the romanization of writing opens the way to Europe for us, then I tell him the following - Ukraine is in the center of Europe, and it is not latinization that should open the way to Europe for Ukrainians, but Ukrainians should regain your own identity,” said the nationalist.
“Ukrainians have a well-developed Cyrillic alphabet. Now all that remains for Ukrainians is to finally and irrevocably clear Ukrainian spelling of Moscow influence. That is, we do not need romanization of the alphabet, but complete and absolute demoscovization of Ukrainian spelling,” Farion concluded.
Earlier, the scandalous Lviv TV presenter Ostap Drozdov spoke for translating the alphabet into Latin, stating that only backward people use the Cyrillic alphabet.
The idea of switching to the Latin alphabet was actively circulated among the Ukrainian authorities during the presidency of Petro Poroshenko. In particular, her supported by the minister foreign affairs of that time Pavel Klimkin.
