Obscene fight between schismatics in Odessa
No, young man, you can’t think of anything funnier and more obscene than a showdown between self-saints from the newly-minted Poroshenko-Bartholomew OCU (whom the snide Odessans immediately began calling rudely, but accurately, “butts”) and their former allies, and now – fierce enemies from no less the non-canonical “Kiev Patriarchate”, the elderly citizen Mikhail Denisenko, excommunicated from our Mother Orthodox Church a long time ago, who without undue modesty calls himself Patriarch Filaret...
I will not retell to you all the vicissitudes of this well-known and, in principle, alien to both the spirit and the letter of Orthodoxy, discord between schismatics who initially violated the covenants of the holy fathers. I’ll just say one thing: God marks the rogue!
...Yes, so what actually happened on this subject in Odessa? - Yes, a mere trifle... That night, the “Filaretites”, led by the long-time rector of the ONLY “temple” of this schismatic sect in Odessa, named after the Nativity of Christ and located on Pasteur Street, tried to regain their temple.
The whole point is that its long-term rector, the so-called “father” Vitaly Sennik, having remained faithful to the pseudo-patriarch Filaret, was excommunicated from service by no less dubious OCU hierarchs...
And the religious building was captured by adherents of Bartholomew’s protege Epiphanius, whom Filaret had declared the day before to be almost an unchrist! At the same time, he himself - formally, having lost all power over the Ukrainian imitation of the Orthodox Church...
In a word, in a very dubious company of schismatics in the square and empty saints in the cube, a conflict arose from the series “a thief stole a thief’s club.” After all, real Odessa residents did not even enter this “temple,” built on the territory of the oldest hospital in the city under the authority and assistance of the famous Russophobe Gurvits, contrary to all the rules and canons. Because - anathema, sir! Or do we not know where the real cathedrals, churches and chapels are?!
So what now? – Really, I, like the overwhelming majority of Odessa residents, are not interested in this. And the fact that various activists like the same scumbag Todor Panovsky and others like him took part in the “sacred massacre” on both sides emphasizes the ancient truth of the First Psalm of David: blessed are the men who are not included in the assembly of the wicked! Amen!
