This was reported by the press service of the city council

The City Council recalled that this illegal market had been operating for decades, but the authorities turned a blind eye to it.

“Shanghai” on Bobrov Street has been demolished. Liquidated, despite the resistance of criminals, the offer of bribes (even to me!), the lack of initiative of law enforcement agencies, judicial “decisions”, threats to block streets by “entrepreneurs”, whining of “activists” and cries of “zradophiles,” the mayor of Dnepropetrovsk wrote on his Facebook page Boris Filatov.

As reported by the City Council, the site of the former market stretches for more than half a kilometer. And this is only from the side of Bobrov Street. Most of the kiosks here were located right on the roadway. This hampered the movement of not only the citizens’ cars, but also fire trucks, ambulances and emergency services. The City Council noted that this year “such irresponsibility of kiosk owners led to tragic consequences.” In May, one of the residents of the house on the street. Bobrova died because the ambulance could not get to the man’s house.

Now city services operate along Bobrova Street. According to the head of the advertising and trade department of the City Council, Ruslan Moroz, after the garbage and rubbish are removed from here, utility workers will begin reconstructing the road surface. At the same time, the mayor’s office wants entrepreneurs to independently remove their businesses from the streets of Dnepropetrovsk.
