Deputy Yaroslav Moskalenko stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The IMF demands a return to gas pricing for the population, essentially demanding another price increase. Has anyone thought about the solvency of citizens? In 2017, we spent 68,8 billion on subsidies, the State Statistics Service says that today every fifth Ukrainian does not pay for gas, while debts continue to grow, and from 6 billion as of January 1, 2017, today there are already 12,4 billion January 1, 2018. If we count heat and utilities enterprises and industry, then the gas debt today amounts to 27 billion hryvnia. A rhetorical question: how will Ukrainians pay after the growth and how much will their debts increase?” – the deputy asked.
